Image Intelligence supports distinct thumbnail decisions: research-backed concepts, strong moments found in real footage, creator-directed concepts, graphic styles and cinematic scenes where the plan allows them. The appropriate method depends on the video and the level of source fidelity you need.

Video URL analysis and original upload are not the same
A public YouTube URL can provide useful metadata and, when available, preview frames for moment discovery and concept planning. Those preview assets are not always full-resolution source frames, and platform availability can vary.
For dependable full-resolution extraction, upload the original video. GetButlr can extract the selected moment from the local source and prepare a publishable image without pretending that enlargement can recover detail that was never present.

Preserve the creator and the content
Where a creator reference is used, GetButlr surfaces the identity mode and distinguishes original or source-faithful pixels from generated likenesses. Approximate faces are not presented as the real creator. Quality checks can reject results that fail source-integrity or visual-quality requirements.
The workflow also keeps editable thumbnail text separate where practical, so headline placement can be adjusted without asking an image model to reproduce typography. Failed qualifying renders do not become finished thumbnails.
